Beginning in October 2013, South Station underwent construction and renovations due to new leases made with several retailers. During the transformation process Riot PR was responsible for initiating all contact with parties involved with South Station including Gilbane, MBTA, EOP (Equity Office Properties), MBCR, and AMTRAK. Riot PR organized bi-weekly conference calls between the parties and documented the conversations and any foreseen issues regarding construction.
Riot PR also worked with Wayfaring Consultant to post internal and external signage to notify the public. Blue Outdoor was another party Riot PR collaborated with to put up media ‘boards’ throughout the station. Riot PR utilized social media and public relations tactics to keep the public updated of any changes in the construction or schedule of the transformation.
